Pastor John Anderson
Pastor Judy Anderson
A native of Norristown, PA. He received a Bachelor of Arts in History from Albright College (1987), a Master of Divinity from the former Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia, which is now United Lutheran Seminary (1994) and a Masters of Sacred Theology from the former Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia (2010). He has served congregations in Bel Air, MD and Audubon, NJ and currently serves St. Thomas and Holy Trinity, Brant Beach. He enjoys reading and going to the beach.
A native of Staten Island, NY. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University (1989), a Master of Arts degree from New York University (1991), a Master of Divinity from the former Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia, which is now United Lutheran Seminary (1997) and a Doctor of Ministry degree from the former Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia (2016). She served as a “pastoral assistant” in Baltimore, MD, and has served in West Collingswood, NJ. She currently serves St. Thomas. She enjoys reading, crafts, cooking, and going to the beach.
The Andersons met in 1993 while students at seminary and were married in 1996. Together they have 2 children who are very much partners in their ministry. Their son, Patrick, received his BS and MBA from Monmouth University, Long Branch, NJ, and is currently working as an accountant. Their daughter, Kristen is an undergraduate student at St. Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, PA. They came to St. Thomas in 2011 as Transformation Ministry Pastors. Two years later their titles changed to Redevelopers. In 2017, they were called by the congregation to serve as regular pastors.

Lisa Bates
Lisa started working at St. Thomas in November of 2014 as our Church secretary. Prior to that, she was a legal secretary for 15 years in Lavallette, NJ. Lisa grew up in Lavallette, NJ. She got married in February of 1993 to her husband, Dave and they have 3 grown children, Brandon (27), Justin (24) and Cassidy (22). They currently reside in Brick, NJ.
